Isolating connection IS-57-2,5 SHIK
An insulating joint (IC) is a structural device used to isolate sections of the pipeline from the possibility of electric current passing between them. Insulating connections are installed at the connections of pipelines of liquefied and natural gas transportation systems, oil pipelines and pipelines of oil products pumping systems of both ground and underground versions. It is also advisable to install an insulating connection for a gas pipeline with high electrical resistance at the entrance to the gasified object in front of the GRU in order to protect measuring equipment and maintenance personnel from the effects of stray currents.
